Red Alder (Albums rubra) is so common here in the Pacific Northwest, yet each piece can appear so wildly different than the next. Alder readily becomes spalted (colored by fungal attack), rendering an otherwise plain looking wood quote exciting. The bell of this didgeridoo has rounded edges, which really brings the depth of the spalting to the visual realm. This didgeridoo has a relatively open bore, and very little taper, resulting in a well balanced sound, lively vocals, and an awesome dirtiness to its sound.

Thank you Roger, from Montreal, for adopting this fine instrument!
